Panthers defeat Wabash

September 17th 2004 - Wabash--The Eastbrook offense has been looking to break out. Break-out it did in a big way scoring 56 points on the way to a 56-6 defeat of Wabash. The Panthers scored early and often in the first half. Less than three minutes into the game Kyle Kirkpatrick busted out for a 79 yard touchdown run. Wabash would respond with a long drive down inside the Panther 5 yard line. The Panther defense would stand tall and deny the Apaches the score. Jed Puckett would cap the first quarter with a 10 yard touchdown run making the score 14-0. The second quarter would be a big one. Puckett would score his second touchdown on a short run to make it 21-0. Then Zach Tuterow and Jason Poe would hook-up twice for touchdowns on for 35 yards and the other from 51 yards out. Making the halftime score 35-0. The start of the second half saw Poe run the kick-off back 80 yards for a touchdown. The rest of the night would belong to the Panther second-teamers. Adam Short and Tim Shirar would add touchdown runs to finish off the Panther scoring. The defense was led once again by Rob Bragg who notched 13 tackles. He was followed closely by Tim Shirar and Levi Williams with 12 and 11 tackles each. Eastbrook 14 21 14 7--56 Wabash 0 0 0 6--6 |
