Oak Hill downs Panthers

September 8th 2006 - The big play spelled doom for the Panthers as they were defeated 21-14 by Oak Hill. In a game that saw the Panthers control the ball for more than 35 minutes it was Oak Hill who came up with the big plays at the right time.
Eastbrook took the lead in the first quarter on a 4-yard touchdown pass from Nathan Felver to Jimmy Michael. Oak Hill would respond quickly though returning the kick 91-yards for a score.
The score would remain 7-7 into the third quarter. Oak Hill would again use the big play. Cory Anderson took the counter 86-yards for the go ahead touchdown.
Eastbrook would counter early in the fourth quarter. Quintyn Tuterow would tie the score at 14-14 with an 11-yard run.
The teams would trade possession until late in the fourth quarter Kyle Anderson took the sweep 66-yards around the end for the go ahead touchdown.
The Panthers would take possession with just over 1:30 left on the clock. Two completion and a penalty later the Panthers were in Oak Hill territory. The drive would stop there with an interception to seal the game.
The Panthers will next be at home to play Frankton. Gametime is at 7:00. |
