Eastbrook Hurdles Western

August 27th 2010 - It was another great week for the Eastbrook Panthers as they beat the Western Panthers 49-13. It was a sellout crowd on both the visiting and home team. It was a great match up but Eastbrooks offense and defense was just too much for Western. Eastbrooks defense allowed Western to just 11 first downs and 171 total offensive yards. On the other hand, Mighty Eastbrook had 21 first downs and racked up 411 total offensive yards. The leader of those yards was senior Max Widmeyer with 123 yards with 10 carries and a touchdown. Junior Gavin Pearson led the touchdown scoring with 3. Day went 7-7 on PAT’S and averaged 50 yards on kick-offs with a longest of 60. Eastbrook keeps rolling at 2-0 as they play Frankton this coming Friday at home at 7 p.m.
