October 22nd 2004 - Eastbrook got off to a good start in sectional 28 play defeating South Adams 34-8. The Panther defense set the tone all night for Eastbrook. The defense set the Panthers up with many quality scoring opportunities. On the night the defense forced 4 interceptions and 2 fumbles.
The highlight of the evening for the defense came when Nathan Seaman (6'3 270) deflected a screen pass to himself and rumbled 10 yards for a touchdown.
Offensively the Panthers were well balanced. Zach Tuterow scored the first touchdown of the night going 19 yards for the score.
In the second quarter Tuterow would find Kyle Kirkpatrick all alone for a 34 yard touchdown. Brad Atkins would finish the first half scoring with a 3 yard run making the halftime score 19-0.
Seaman would add his touchdown in the third quarter and Jed Puckett would finsh the scoring from 1 yard out making the score 34-0.
The second team Panthers would not be able to hold on giving up the only score of the game on a long run from the Starfire quarterback.
Eastbrook now stands at 10-0. Eastbrook will play host in the second round of the sectional to Winchester. Winchester is also 10-0 for the season. |
