Upland, IN - The Eastbrook Panthers opened the 2004 season with a victory over Southwood. Eastbrook scored two touchdowns in each of the first two quarters to open up the lead and secure the game. The Class 2A No. 6 Panthers passed for 24 yards in the sloppy conditions and scored four TDs on runs by Kyle Kirkpatrick, Brad Atkins, Jason Poe and Jed Puckett.
